A LITTLE ABOUT OUR COURTSHIP

From Melissa to Freddy

As I got to know Freddy better, I could hardly believe that what was happening was real.  It seemed like a dream, that it was happening to another person, like I was looking through a window to happiness.

Through Freddy's visits almost every week and his phone calls I learned what an incredible person he is.  He's not afraid to try new things.  He follows through on his decisions.

(Melissa's story continued below)

When I told him I'd never gone to the Empire State building and always wanted to go he said "let's go," so we went!  He made it happen.  My dream of going there came true because of Freddy and I grew to realize that he was the one that I wanted to share ALL my dreams with!

He was very concerned about my feelings.  He never pushed me to love him. He allowed time for me to grow to love him.  I am so grateful to him for that.  He loves Jehovah and his compassion for others drew me to him.

A Dream Come True!

His humility was shown to me in the way he treated children when I had gatherings at my apartment.  They were drawn to him.  My sister fell in love with him when they first met.

I learned how he treated his mother when we went to Dominican Republic and saw the consideration he showed to her.  I saw the concern he showed me when I cut my hand at Jarabacoa.

A Sample of Freddy's Super-human Strength

His generosity also knows no bounds. He's always ready to help a friend in need.  I love him for all of these things and so much more.  His superhuman strength, his chivalrous deeds, his warm tender smile, his cute funny ways.

He's a man with a plan and in it is me.
There's no other place that I'd rather be.
He lifts me up when I am down
and makes me smile when i'm wearing a frown.
He's strong, courageous and lets me be me. There's no other way that he'd want it to be.  I I feel safe and protected by him
and through this world together we'll swim.

I pray that I can make Freddy as happy as he's made me and that we can serve Jehovah united as one forever.

From Freddy to Melissa

Melissa is the missing part of my life. I love her very much. I love her personality. She is lively and also very sweet. She's always there for me. And I feel honored to do things for her. I like the fact that she's always thinking of others before herself. She also cares for God's creations. I like that.

She is also firm in spiritual matters. That fact that she was once a pioneer also attracted me to her. I hope that we can do that work together in the future.

I remember the day that we went to the Empire State Building. We had lots of fun together going all the way up to the top floor, and the wind was blowing, and we were laughing and knocking things over.

We traveled together, with Deb and my mother, to the Dominican Republic. Her parents were going on vacation and also traveled there with her little sister Michelle. There we traveled all around many places and got to know each other better.

Here we are at the Botanical Gardens in the Dominican Republic

I fell in love with her scent, her smile, her style.
I fell in love with the country girl.

Now I'm almost a country boy! We will be moving out there soon. And if I'm going to make a drastic move like that, it has to be with and because of her.

It's been a wonderful experience to have known her and courtship her and grown to this big moment.

But I have to thank her just as well, for she makes me feel at ease among her friends and family members. I love her very much!

And I thank Jehovah that we are together and I pray for His blessings now and for ever and ever.Amen!
